3 Steps to Prep for Relationship Coaching

If you’re considering relationship coaching to make your marriage last and thrive, you’ve probably already read articles and books about relationships. Maybe you’ve been to couples or individual counseling, and you know that drill. So you may be wondering how coaching is really any different. And why would you need to prepare for it anyway? Isn’t that like cleaning before the housekeeper comes?

Well, I admit that I do a little cleaning before the cleaning people come because I want them to clean under that pile of stuff on my desk. And you probably want to get the most that you can out of relationship coaching too because it’s an investment in your marriage and you want the most from your investment.

On today’s episode of The Empowered Wife Podcast, we’re talking about three steps to prep for relationship coaching:

  • I’ll share exactly how to prepare for a coaching session.
  • My guest Claire’s 17-year marriage was in major crisis. There was another woman, and though Claire loved her husband deeply, he was set on leaving her. This motivated her to take a completely different approach, which led to a total breakthrough. Now she says their marriage is beyond their wildest dreams! It’s what they have always wanted, and they’re extremely grateful for what she calls a “second” marriage with the same person.
  • The Worst Relationship Advice of the Week Award goes to an article on a popular website about how to tell if a marriage is headed for divorce. It’s not only hooey, it’s downright harmful.
